Blu-Ray Disc menu shows in player but when we click play it doesn’t play
I burned a blu-ray disc using encore cs 6 and everything worked fine in the preview but…when we put the disk in a blu ray player the menu buttons don’t work.
Any suggestions? Does this have something to do with instead of hitting play we should be hitting enter on the remote?

How old is this player? Can you update the firmware? There have been several revisions of the Blu Ray standard and it might be a simple update is needed. Will it play back on the drive you burned it upon? Try it on other players also.

It is actually a brand new player. The menu plays, music on menu plays, and you can see the video thumb nail in the menu which makes me believe that the player is reading the blu ray.
For some reason I am thinking it has something to do with instead of hitting “play” on the remote…it will only allow you to hit “enter”. Because I tried it on a different player and it worked when I hit enter but I thought it was just that particular player.
