Have you enabled multiprocessing in the preferences?

Try the Screen Pre-blur setting in Keylight to reduce the wavy edges.

The only tutorial I’ve ever seen that uses Liquefy is Andrew Kramers Demon Face Warp. He doesn’t go very in-depth into its capabilities/settings, but it’s a start.

[Reggie Spires] “Guess I was wondering if there was a program that had some pre made parts .. almost like a Mr Potato head (I know you are screaming) for simple animation.”

Sounds like a good idea for a new plugin. I think it’d be popular with animators.
Come on all you programmers, where’s our Mr. Potatohead plugin?

From your description (assuming I understand correctly), it sounds like no keying would be necessary. Have you tried using the corner pin effect to place the video over the individual polaroids?

[Ron Lindeboom] “We also have more expanded services on the drawing board that will enable users to do things that the COW has never done before. We have some very cool features and additions planned and we think that our members are really going to like them.”

I just can’t imagine how “The Cow” could get any better than it already is. I await the changes with anticipation.

[Kishan Patel] “Do you see any problem using Windows Movie Maker?”

Windows Movie Maker is a piece of rubbish that was never meant to be used for serious video editing. It has very limited capabilities compared to “real” editing software, such as Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, etc.

This sounds like the perfect project for familiarizing yourself with “Time Remapping”.

March 9, 2008 at 5:19 am in reply to: Letters Punch Through Metal

    Dave,

I think your animation is happening too slowly. Stamping something into metal is an (almost) instant event. So much so that any stressing sounds would be covered up by the sound of the actual hit of the stamp.

On the other hand, if the lettering was being pressed (as in hydraulic/mechanical press) into the metal, it would happen much more slowly. In this case, there’d be no hit (stamp) sound, only the sounds of the metal stressing (stretching/tearing).

Your example seems to be a mixture of the two above situations, which just doesn’t happen in the real world.
