Thank you for all feedback.
It is a RAID1 array. The device is making more noise than usual and getting hot.
The PC has dual boot (Win 7 and Vista). Windows 7 doesn’t see the drive at all. SO It is hard to know what happened.
In Vista after restarting the PC and pressing the ON button several times on the device, it starts working for several hours. The RAID status displayed in the WD Raid Manager is “rebuilding” instead of “healthy”.
The disk array works for a few hours and then becomes not available again. Then I restart again and pray for it to become available again for a while.
Thanks God this way I have being able to copy to a different disk and recover around 60% of the data so far. The total is around 700 GB.
I hope to be able to recover all. If it doesn’t show up any more I don’t know how to proceed. I was taking a look to TestDisk, but I have no idea on how to use it if the array is not visible.
Now I must buy a new storage. I definitely won’t buy WD never again. I would like to buy a reliable RAID system. But there is a lot of information out there, so I don’t know yet what to buy. Maybe the SAN Digital setup with 4 Samsung 2TB SATA drives 5.45TB (Raid 5)is a good option.

Thank you John. I will probably buy the Spyder3Elite Display Calibration System from https://www.bhphotovideo.com. I just thinking a little bit about it, because I have read reviews that it lacks proper documentation on how to use it.

Thank you Steve. Can you tell a little more how you use the 3 monitors and how is your Vegas window layout?
I have two ATI video cards each one has 1xDVI, 1xDP, 1xHDMI. And I have a Blackmagic Design DECKLINK STUDIO 2, that has all types of connections, but I don’t know how compatible it is with sony vegas.

Hello:
I downloaded the trial version and it is truly amazing.
But it seems the stabilized video has less image quality (contrast) that the original one. Is that correct?

My System has
– Six-Core Intel® Core™ i7-980X 3.33GHz 6.4GT/s QPI 12MB
– 24 GB RAM,
– 2 x ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5
– Win7-64.Vegas 10 works OK. No crashes at all when using only internal drives.
The only problem is that the old MPG1 are not rendered OK in Vegas10 and we must use them in a custom player application.
Aside from that Vegas 10 works very well.

It maybe a hard drive performance issue.
I am using Vegas 10 + Windows 7 64. I had those problems when I was emitting clips saved on external WD hard drives. I changed the work flow to new and faster internal hard drives and all problems are gone.
You could try copy all the clips you are using and the Vegas project to an internal hard drive (7.200RPM minimum, 10000RPM better) with less than 50% of space used.
Try that and see if Vegas 10 still crashes.
