  • No. The drive connected is labeled Avid and it’s the one I’ve been using all along. I’ve tried disconnecting it and reconnecting but I still get the error.

  • Thanks, I don’t know exactly which clip it is but I’ve narrowed it down. When I delete a certain portion of my timeline, it plays. I might have to re-edit that portion with DNX media but it’s not a very big portion of the timeline so it won’t be too bad. But I’m wondering about something. Some of the clips in the portion I cut out are also being used in After Effects. Could that have anything to do with the corruption?

I don’t think Avid can import from DVD’s. You might want to try Mpeg Streamclip if you’re going to extract media from a DVD.

Ok, I figured it out. I wasn’t turning on the 3D switch and Continuously Rasterize inside both of my main comp and my pre-comp along with turning off DOF. Thanks for the help.

No, I turned the DOF off.

I do have the file nested in a pre-comp. I went into the precomp and turned on the 3D switch which allowed me to not have to turn 3D on in my main comp but I still have to turn the quality switch to draft in the precomp to get sharp edges in my main comp. Could this be an illustrator issue? The Illustrator file is just a simple 1920×1080 with vectors. Or at least I think they are vectors. I’m not much of an Illustrator user.

Yeah! That’s what it’s doing. It’s trying to open help. I was looking up another issue I was having when this all started. I was running 5.5 on Lion and didn’t have this issue.

March 22, 2011 at 9:36 pm in reply to: Sending an Avid timeline to Color?

Thank you. AD Pro Import is the route I’ll go then. I’m using MC 5.5. But since I won’t sent it to Color until after everything is locked, could I just export my timeline from Color to FCP for the final render? The videos are going to end up on the web so I really want to preserve as much quality as I can before I shrink them down. Which way would you suggest I go after Color?

    Thanks

Ok, fixed it. I had to go into my deck configurations. Problem was I kept Googling “OMCI busy” instead of “OHCI busy.” 🙂

Oops! Yes. OHCI. I understand what it is now but I still don’t know why it’s happening or how to stop it. Is this a problem with the OS and not Avid?
