    Hi Guys,

I’m going to buy an Avid and Mac set up. Also, the main purpose for this set up is to import DVD’s into the Avid and then edit them for my Demo Reel Website.

So, what’s a good simple set up for the avid and equipment? (in terms of purchasing)

and…what’s a good work flow for importing DVD’s into the Avid for editing?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    Thanks dudes.

I don’t think Avid can import from DVD’s. You might want to try Mpeg Streamclip if you’re going to extract media from a DVD.

You can rip dvds staight to ur hard drive dnxhd or whatever you want with sorenson squeeze, which comes with avid. I have been doing this for a current project and have had no problems
