Weird deck control warning “OMCI?”
I don’t ever use a deck anymore (just tapeless) but I plugged in an old mini-DV camera one time this week and I keep getting a message that says, “The port “OMCI” is busy and cannot be used for deck control.” I’m not sure what I did. The camera controls worked and the media came in just fine.
What is this and how can I stop it from popping up? Avid runs fine- no problems. But it just bugs me that I can’t solve this problem. Any help would appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Are you sure it didn’t say OHCI ?

Oops! Yes. OHCI. I understand what it is now but I still don’t know why it’s happening or how to stop it. Is this a problem with the OS and not Avid?

Ok, fixed it. I had to go into my deck configurations. Problem was I kept Googling “OMCI busy” instead of “OHCI busy.” 🙂
