Sorry, my question was not precise. While having your window truncated, do you also have multiple instances of the effect or did you add that in while trying ? I am asking because the way a software behaves helps to point towards a solution.

I am assuming that you already tried the obvious; rolling back the OS to a point before the problem occurred, other software installed,etc…

I did have problems with some features of a software I downloaded 2 years back (not Vegas). It turned out that the downloaded file got somewhat corrupted during the download.

Are you saying that when you add deform, you get more than one instance ? Or is it something else ?

I don’t believe that Magix is intentionally, or not, invading your computer. I would rather look at the possibility of Malware, viral or other intrusion. The other option could be a recent software addition that conflicts with Vegas or slows down your computer, one or more of your drive(s) may be on the fritz, do not use the same drive for your source material and rendering. Etc….

Do a thorough systems check.

Having said that, if you do not wish to see those ”Net Notify” messages, just go to:

Options → Preferences → General → Use Net Notify to stay informed…. (Uncheck)

Sorry, wrote the first reply just before bedtime.

With Blu-Ray authoring, you have to render the audio separately.

An AC-3 file will do the trick.

Then you add your video file and your audio files to Architect.

Sorry about the delay in replying, everybody wants stuff done before the holidays…

Hi Jim

In order to create a proper DVD, Architect needs to access 2 folders. AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS.

AUDIO_TS file be an empty file. Although it is empty, it is needed.

VIDEO_TS will have .BUP, .IFO and VOB files.

Bare in mind that an .MP4 file is just a container. Best you run your file thru Vegas first in order to create a proper DVD Architect file.

Mostly working with V13. I find that there are still to many random little glitches. Really don’t like the monochrome black icons, it slows the workflow. Will wait for V14 updates. I do use it sometimes for some of the new features, render the sequence and use it in V13.

Could be that after doing cuts, sometimes the equivalent of a fraction of a frame is left on the audio time line. Listen for it and zoom in to that part of the timeline. Chances are that you will find a remnant of one of your cuts.

Video and audio timelines do not react the same way to cuts. Try it out; open a new project with 1 video track and 1 audio track. Insert 10 seconds of any video and 10 seconds of any audio. Zoom into your timelines. Go to the end of each clip and reduce the duration by dragging them left. Notice that the video track will jump and move in increments of frames. The audio track will be smooth linear. Hope that makes sense. If someone can come up with a better description… I’m an editor, not one of those creative writers !
