Ahh sorry. I misread your post. But yes, you can use panoramic photos in Vegas.

This thread also talks about using panoramic with pan/crop. https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/900322#900331

Quote from Bob Peterson “I don’t know what you are trying to achieve, but I just implemented a panoramic image (photo) in an SD project. I was able to get it to full vertical size, and pan across the horizontal dimension using Pan/Crop. I simply set the “Maintain Aspect” control to “No”, and selected the preset “1:1 Square Aspect Ratio”. I also manually adjusted the zoom settings to see what I wanted to see. It may take some experimentation to get it to look right, but I was able to do exactly what I wanted which is to pan across a fairly wide image.”

Searching for your issue, I found this previous thread on the subject: https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/1010382#1010385

It appears you will have to use Photoshop as Pan/Crop tool is not as easy to use for panoramic. It might be easier now under Vegas 14+ but I have not tested this.

Ok, so not sure what the issue was but I re-saved the .VEG file under Vegas Pro 12 and I see no more errors when I either preview the file or open it up to edit it. The previous .VEG file still shows the message but I will not worry about it.

    Thanks.

    Hi Steve,

Yes, you are correct sorry about that.

I am trying to edit a 2015 .veg file from Vegas Pro 9 under Vegas Pro 12. No new Vegas Pro install I was just trying to edit an older file. I can preview the file and at the end of the preview it pops up with this message. Same pop up if I open the .veg file to edit it.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Bob,

Actually, for whatever reason they think (thought) that Alan Lorence meant 2.0 or SE version. Not is Not the version Alan and I discussed in my email. So I corrected them and indicated 3.0 (3.4.1 or now 3.09).

After that, I have not received anything. I was bugging them to get all of the Free Emitters that used be on Wondertouch’s website. Talk about how fast did they get rid of that URL? ( It is already for Sale). Anyway, I had them correct some installers for pi3 (OFX) but they still have not posted the Emitters that everyone who has this program should be able to download again.

The strange thing is, if you google search for borisfx particleillusion, you will find this website: https://borisfx.com/products/particle-illusion/ BUT they have listed this program as Legacy under their downloads page.

So for now, BorisFX has not gotten back to me regarding releasing a Patch so all of us valid users can self-register for when the day comes that BorisFX decides not to allow any registration from their servers.

In reality, they should release a self-validator or self-installer (whatever you want to call it) for all versions of particleillusion that was released.

I hope that BorisFX does the right thing. GenArts in my opinion dropped the ball with particleillusion and did not promote it enough. Heck, after the last Emitter Alan release (he notified users on Creative Cow forum Mar 2, 2015 ) and I told GenArts to add that lastest update to the Emitters page of Wondertouch (when it was still around 6-4-2015) and they indicated they could not devote man hours to edit a website. ?? Really. So a web editor could not take 5 min to add a link and url for Alan’s last Emitter: https://www.wondertouch.com/downloads/new_libs/emitters_Q3_Q4_2014_il3.zip

All around sad in my opinion.

    Hi Mike,

Yes that is the one. Thank you for posting that!

Last one (for today), do you still have around this file that was posted originally by Sonic Foundry: CountdownSlate.veg
Rough date estimate is either from 2003 – 2004.

I’m still going through my older CD’s and seeing what I can salvage to burn to M-Disc.

    Thanks again Mike! ????????

    Hello,

I hate to open an older thread again….

I am hoping someone still has a copy of this free Count Up/Down Sports Clocks veg file from VASST. The link points to non existent location and I’m hoping that either Mike Kujbida or John Rofrano have this file they can share again?

Is there a location of older .Veg files for Vegas as well that I am not aware of? There was a lot of older .Veg files I was looking for that I cannot find anymore. (For example: CountdownSlate.veg from Sonic Foundry )

    Thanks again.

Thank you both for replying and sharing your views.

My next step will be to look for an Optical drive that does not use a drive belt that is made out of rubber. Hopefully there are drives based on gears only and no rubber parts. I had an older JVC VCR & Technics Turntable where both of them had disintegrated drive belts.

    Thanks again!
