I just learned of the Acoustic Mirror Impulse plugins for Sound Forge. I also noticed on Sony’s website that you can download them.

Once I unzip them, where do I put the files?

And then how do I access them through Sound Forge?

    Thank you

[Ron Whitaker] “Once I unzip them, where do I put the files?”

Mine are in C:Program FilesSonyShared Plug-Ins

“And then how do I access them through Sound Forge?”

They’re the first one under the Effects menu.

Under just the /shared plugins directory, or under …/sharedplugins/audio/?

Actually, you can place them anywhere you want because there is a browse button to find them the first time you use them and then that’s where Acoustic Mirror will read them from. Like Mike, most of us place them under one of the Sony folders for safe keeping but that’s not required. Any folder will do as long as you remember where you put them.

Once I place them on my system, where is the Browse button so that Sound Forge can find them?

Also, I have Sound Forge Audio Studio, not the Pro version, so I don’t know if that makes a difference.

I only have Sound Forge Pro and the button is next to the Impulse dropdown:

I hate to re-open an older thread, but I’m looking to see if anyone has an archive of the Shure Microphone Impulse Library from Sonic Foundry? My download I had burned back in 2003 is no longer viable. I cannot seem to repair the file from cd and I’m hoping someone has a copy of this file still.

    Thanks.

I have all the impulses from the Sony days but nothing labeled Shure.
If this folder is what you want, you can download it from https://www.dropbox.com/sh/49fvxhmq9gxtwql/AAD_5IK5icKeFEIBGq9Z0lqia?dl=0

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the link, but I have those already. This was a special file that Sonic Foundry offered specific for Shure Microphones. Not sure why they did not just include them in the Acoustic Mirror files. It appears it included 63 Shure Microphone acoustic signatures

Here is the details on the .zip file I was trying to get again.
