Mike, Thank You!!!!! Yes, those are the ones I am missing.

How ever did you find them?

    Thanks again.

My next question is does anyone know well those M-DISC’s work for archiving files? I am now trying to backup all my old files that I burned on CD/DVD that are now over 10 years old. I do not want to lose files due to disc rot or pigmentation.

I guess I wanted to know if these M-DISC’s will actually still work 20 – 30 years from now reliably. They are rated for 1,000 years, but I’m pretty sure I will not be around.

Thanks again Mike for posting those files!

    -Francois

  • Does anyone know at Magix if the Acoustic Mirror impulse plug-in will also be updated to x64 as well? If I remember correctly, Acoustic Mirror is only 32-bit.

I would love to see more updates to this unique program.

  • Devon,

Please let Magix tech-support know so they can also look to see if Microsoft “broke” something…. If you had another system with Windows 10 Build 1607 to test with, but not all users have extra systems to mess around with.

  • To the OP Susie Garratt,

I have used Geek Uninstaller (Free program and works with x64 systems). When you use Geek uninstaller it runs the programs “normal” uninstaller and then it runs a special process afterwords to search for any left-over files. I stopped using Revo a year ago since it did not fully support x64 programs and their removal.

The best practice I found when installing Any program is to use Uninstall Tool (Paid for program) that will “watch” all changes to your system and when the time comes to remove it, it will also make sure that any left-overs are removed properly as well.

Hopefully you can remove all of the K-Lite Codec Packs files it installed on your system.

  • Devon,

Since Windows 10 is a “Service” now, do you know if you had this issue when you were using Windows 10 Build 1607 or 1511? Build 1703 was recently released and I know Microsoft is trying to get systems updated to this build but I have been blocking that until bugs have been worked out. The other question is, have you reset your Vegas settings back to Default to make sure there is not something going on with the Vegas software? I know other users have complained about certain pieces of software not working correctly under Windows 10 build 1703 but working fine under Build 1607 / 1511.

    Thanks

  • Devon,

I think it would be helpful if you listed what version of Vegas you are using and what version of Windows you are on. I know of Cursor issues under Windows, but I think version numbers would help.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the link, but I have those already. This was a special file that Sonic Foundry offered specific for Shure Microphones. Not sure why they did not just include them in the Acoustic Mirror files. It appears it included 63 Shure Microphone acoustic signatures

Here is the details on the .zip file I was trying to get again.

I hate to re-open an older thread, but I’m looking to see if anyone has an archive of the Shure Microphone Impulse Library from Sonic Foundry? My download I had burned back in 2003 is no longer viable. I cannot seem to repair the file from cd and I’m hoping someone has a copy of this file still.

    Thanks.

  • Rex,

Hopefully they will answer you but as of 7-27-2017 BorisFX closed down the GenArts website.

    Look here: https://borisfx.com/faq/i-had-a-genarts-account-why-isn-t-it-working/

You will need to sign-up for a new BorisFx account.

It also appears the Downloads for Particleillusion from BorisFX are “Coming Soon” BUT they are listed under Legacy section:

    https://borisfx.com/support/legacy-downloads/#particleillusion

Otherwise you could also use the Wayback Machine and search for the Emitters .

It appears my bookmark for this file still works, but this is not the Emitters but the Standalone program: https://files.genarts.com/particleillusion/particleIllusion-install-3.09.exe

You can try this link as well for some Emitters but not all of them: https://files.genarts.com/particleillusion/pI_additional_emitter_libraries.exe This is a 76mb file.

Please note: I’m not sure how long these links will work, but I’m assuming BorisFX will cut/disconnect all GenArts links very very soon.

    Best of Luck.
