How do you want to convert the 16:9 to 4:3? Letterboxed with black bars at the top and bottom? Or cropped, losing image at the right and left?
I guess the easiest way would be to use the realtime Pan&Scan features of Suite 2 to place your 16:9 HD material in a 4:3 SD timeline to actually scale and crop to your needs. Of course the issue of going from 60i to 29.97i is another topic; not sure if Suite2 does handle that. But of course you could do such a conversion in e.g. Compressor or Episode or AE, depending on which software you have available.

QuickTime 7.7 is Leopard (10.5) only. There´s no way to install it on 10.6 and up.

HI Jay,
the XML import usually transfers over the video and audio material from FCP. Not sure why this is not working for you. I would guess that there is some sort of bug, or something that is not working in your timeline.
I would suggest doing a quick test with a simple FCP timeline, just a couple of clips, to see if there is something wrong with your system in general. If this works, you probably should send the XML to Media100 support with an explanation of what the issue is. If they know about problems, they are usually very good about fixing them. -
Sounds like either too many effects, or too high data rate. What codec are you using?

You definitely should give ProRes 422 a try. Media 100 HD codec is uncompressed, therefore pretty big. ProRes is compressed, but with great quality for its data rate

Wit Suite 2 this is pretty easy. Drop your DV Clips into a HD Timeline and go tothe Motion Editor. Set the Selection Values to 1920 and 1080 in the Pan&Scan section, which should give you 100% on the left side of the control fields.

Hi Andy,
with Suite 2 some rearrangements of the default locations of windows have been made. Most likely your bin opens in a position where you cannot see it (maybe even on a 2nd monitor that is not connected???) Open your System Preferences->Displays->Arrange to see the displays the MacOS “thinks” to have available. For example there could be a virtual display from your Aja card or an adapter on your Graphics card of your system that is not connected to a display. And if the new bin opens on this display you obviously would not be able to see it…

You should open the Transfer software from within Media 100 (File->Import->XDCam). Then the XDcam Transfer settings will be set correctly to automatically import the files into Media 100.

You should install the Apple ProApps codecs. I´ve written an instruction how to do this here. Since you are running Suite 2.01 I guess you are on OSX 10.6.x? I got feedback that these new versions of the ProApps codecs don´t work with 10.5.x, so if you are on an older OS version let me know.

the presets may be the same, but the RGB curves and Levels in the ColorFX area are pretty powerful already, and as far as I know they were not available on a 9500 PowerMac system. But of course you can send a mail to Media 100 or to Boris to let them know you would love to see a 3way CC filter directly in the Media 100 application itself. They do listen to customer feedback.
