Been using the same system for quite some time now and all of a sudden, cant play the video. Just like having some bad video frame. I would like to know what could have caused this. (image)

I never had problems before and what could cause the CPU to slow down, Video is from AVCHD files. Please advise.
    Thanks – Gerry

    System,
    Apple Xserve – OS 10.5.8
    M100 – 1.6.1
    8 core/ 3.0

    512mb video RAM

Sounds like either too many effects, or too high data rate. What codec are you using?

    Hi Floh,
Thanks, No effects at all just dissolves. I’m using ProRes 422 (HQ). Initially for the first time I tried using a short 6 sec moving background with 50 percent opacity to test on the titles. When if first showed up, I took the clip away and played the same clip and it worked. but after the 2.5 hour program was edited. This prompt was showing everywhere. Thanks

A system reboot will often resolve many things.

Avoid running too many other apps in the background. Check the Activity Monitor in Applications/Utilities for anything unusually taxing.

Check your drives with Disk Utility.

Make sure you codecs didn’t change on you and your media is where you want it.
