I would remove the Apple FC card and try digitizing again to the internal drive (or the FireWire drive) in maybe 200kb. This defitnitely should work. If not, I think you should reinstall your OS, maybe to the FireWire drive to keep your internal disk okay.

    Larry,

    there

  • [Michael Slowe] “but also because it is really the best system around”

    Good point!

[Michael Slowe] “It is so versatile, especially with one of the two ‘magic’ boxes (Miranda or Convergent Design) to take in HDV and then edit either in DV or HD. Floh, do you approve of this route for HDV?”

    I haven

  • [Todd at UCSB] “Just as a point of clarification, while Floh is not on any Media 100 payroll, I’m sure he has, in the past, recieve some money from Media 100 as a consultant/demo artist/etc. He was the main demo guy for Media 100 844x roll out at NAB, 3 years ago. Purple hair and all. This shouldn’t take anything away from the amazing contributions that Floh has made around here. But just so you know.”

    Todd,
to clarify the clarification, although I knew pretty early about 844/X and we were the first beta site worldwide that received a 844/X and a Media 100 HD system I only did some local 844/X demos and trainings here in Germany and NEVER had Purple hair!!! And I don

    [Keith Heard] “It’s a miracle!!!”

No, not really. The engineers have planned and implemented that feature. And it is even documented in the manual…

[Ernie Santella] “What am I missing?”

You are missing the color information, most likely because of a connection problem. Either your S-Video cable has a bent (or missing) pin, or your connection cable between your breakout box and your P6000 board. It also could be something on the board itself but that

[Keith Heard] “However, since I cannot choose 44116 in the hardware setting, I end up with no audio. Weeee!! It’s times like this that I want to run far and fast from the Media 100. Please can anyone help me?”

June 3, 2005 at 4:00 pm in reply to: Cutting 24p with M100 HD?

The varicams always record at 60(i?) with flagged images, so they can determine the frame rate. And the player will also output “normal” HD @ 30 frames with the images interpolated correctly. So as long as you are not going to film for final output there is no reason not to edit the project in Media 100 HD.
The only thing that Media 100 HD does not do right now is to work with 24PA, which you would shoot if you are going to film, where 24 full-frame images are recorded on a 30frames base. Otherwise just digitize and work as you would usually do.

If the drive does not show up in System profiler you most likely have a more general problem than a driver. Either there
