Hey Maxwell,

that sounds like an OS command conflicts with the Media 100 zoom command. Have a look into your System Preferences->Keyboard->Keyboard Shortcuts. Maybe something in there uses this shortcut by default.

Wes, the guy behind AutomaticDuck, recently joined Adobe, so the AD plugins are free now. You could go Media100->FCP->Avid and back, but even exchanging timelines between FCP and Avid is some sort of hassle, at least if you want to carry over the media files. If this is a one time exchange it probably will work, but if you need to go back and forth several times this will be probably a lot of manual re-creation of effects and stuff.

In Suite 2.0 and up (I believe) there is an option in the import dialog to import in Computer or Video range. Most likely your clips are in Computer range (if they come from DSLR at least). Earlier versions always imported in Video range, which increases the contrast.

Do you have the ProRes codec installed? Here is a guide on how to install them on a system without FCP.

This probably will work if you have the encryption code/serial number for V8.2.3a that matches your PCI board. The software license is tied to the board serial, so you need the code that matches your hardware.

And I am not sure what the latest supported version of MacOSX was for 8.2.3a.

For V2.1 and Lion, you should use the 9.0.5/9.0.6 driver. You can always find the latest recommended and minimum drivers in the Release Notes document, found under the “Launch” menu item in the “Media 100 Suite” menu.

Not sure what the question is. On what kind of monitor do you want to see video? You can use Media 100 with a range of video output cards (Aja, BlackMagic, Matrox), and of course you can see the video on an external screen immediately if you have one of the cards

I guess it will be difficult to find someone who is willing to pay the shipping for it. That´s close to 20 years old, which is even more in tech-years

Can you post a screenshot of the error message? I am not sure which part of the system produces it, maybe the dialog box will tell me something.
