Aspera has a pretty fast transfer mechanism, blows away ftp, but it’s a point-to-point client that you will need on each end.

No, as long as the venue has an ASCAP/BMI/SESAC performance rights license. Same basic license needed to have a jukebox or play the radio at a bar.
That covers the performance of a cover band, but it would not cover the recordings of that performance. This is where publishing rights come in, using a service such as Diamond Time. https://www.diamondtime.net/

We use a bunch (~10 of each) of the 2 bay and 4 bay eSata enclosures from FirmTek, with the CalDigit 4 port eSata cards. I have about 400TB of Hitachi 1TB drives in the FirmTek sleds, and only have had one 4bay unit die. We bought everything thru Maxx Digital, and Ron took care of the return for us without hassle. I’d say we can highly recommend the combination of FirmTek, Hitachi & Maxx Digital.

Try running your mp4 thru MpegStreamclip and use the Frame Blending option. We’ve found some odd behaviour with some mp4’s here, and this seems to even out the amount of data in each frame so FCP will open it.

I know Ron’s already known to quite a few folks around here, but if he needs any other testimonials, count me in as a well satisfied customer. He works great with other vendors and doesn’t point fingers, just dives in to get any problems solved. I know we’ve put Ron to the test with a few of our out of the ordinary requests, and he’s always come thru. We are a 20 seat tapeless HD studio producing full length HD concert videos for multiple distribution outlets, about 200 shows/year.
