Converting the files to QT ProRes + Alpha is working – I’m using Apple Compressor – is there any other way to go to not loose quality?

Still no video out here via SDI (Decklink HD 3D)

Now if I change the settings on the Mac BMD Preferences panel, the changes is reflected on FCPX after restarting the software, what was not happening for me on the previous Beta 2 version.

But no video output (I never had the video output working via SDI on these 3 beta drivers)

I already tried different resolutions on the BMD driver preferences, restarting FCPX but it seems to be locked on 29.97 and no video output

Any ideas please?

Not working for me also.

If I change the resolution on the BMD preferences, the SDI monitor shows and changes the screen for the new resolution adjusted on BMD preferences.

I also can send the audio from FCPX via SDI.

But seems FCPX can not “see” the Decklink board, and on the preferences of FCPX I only have 1 option of HD 1080p 29.97, no matter what resolution is set on the BMD preferences. – This is the same resolution of my project, so there’s probably the reason.

I already uninstalled and reinstalled the BDM drivers and even FCPX.

Is there a way I can trash the FCPX preferences for the video output ? Or any other ideas please?

I downloaded the 9.2 beta driver – Blackmagic appears as an output device on the Final Cut X preferences but with only 1 option of output: a SD resolution of 740x 486 @ 29,97

But I have no signal output to my SDI monitor trough the Decklink HD 3D+

Anyone got video output yet?

Well, my basic needs are only HD 1080p video – I put 1000.00 on a software that’s now for free, just 3 months after I spend my hard earned money. Living and learning .

Yes I bought all the other stuff, like cards, pro monitor and Wave panel, did courses, and bought books. But I still fell like I lost 1k…

Hey BMD, what about at least a discount on my next BMD product?

Hi Kip,

sorry for taking so long to reply, very busy this end of month…

I’ll be at my daughter’s house in Houston (I’m in Brazil) from Nov 8th, so there I can order/return things far easier then Brazil – so from there I’ll test the Atlona and the X-100 and some Canon Vixias and of course all cabling and ATEM hardware, to decide what I’ll buy.

Basically the post on the link I put was discussing the benefits of going SDI if you need to move cameras around, or HDMI for a better cost and for fixed cameras due to HDMI fragile connection. In my case I’ll start with HDMI and see the results with different cables (including Atlona), to decide if I’ll really need to invest on SDI transcoders and cabling, as my cameras will be basically be steady on a fixed point at a studio – mostly the exactly same thing you do with your setup, and for internet streaming too 🙂

Anyway at least 1 BMD HDMI-SDI converter I intend to buy, as the new lower price is (a little more) attractive for such product.

Another totally different approach in my case would be: instead of 2 or 3 consumer cameras plus expensive HDMI cables or SDI kits, go straight to 1 Canon XF-105, the ATEM switcher and 1 BMD converter for my HFS-100, saving money for future Pro cameras… but well, I don’t know… let me do the tests… is a lot of money on 1 camera, and I use HDSLRs for my films…

I keep you posted about my results – I’ll even try to put all some tests on my channel at You Tube so we can follow together

By the way, do you have any video recorded with your Vixias and the ATEM you could share?
