Thanks Dave, that helped. It doesn’t change and quality, does it? Also, I was sent another file that is 3.2 Gig. on my computer it won’t open and it is reported as 1.99 gig. Is there a 2 gig limit on Windows that you know of? Can I change that?
    Thanks

    Hi
Thanks for the response. I do have RAID 0 as system. I also have another drive but it is the slowest of them all. Having said that, I’m also a RAID fan and I’m worried seperating the drives. If I wanted to stay like I have, should I still put the video on the Lacie and the audio and preview on the RAID?
    Thanks

Thank you Mike. Once edited, is there a difference if I export to QT DV/DVCPRO or Microsoft DV AVI quality wise? I’m starting with QT DV files.
    Thanks

    Hi Greg,
Is there a similar script for WMV? When I encode my clip, it defaults to 320×240, and when I change to, say, 480×360, the quality is poor. With WMV, I get better quality at the larger size, but, it doesn’t stream. It downloads the whole piece (Which takes a few minutes) and then plays. Also, does WMV has controls showing like the QT script that you were kind enough to send me before?
    Thanks

    Hi
I’m using wm9 1024 download, 2 pass, 480×360 fps=70, average bitrate 1000. It doesn’t start until the downloading finished. Also, does Windows media show controls, like Quicktime does? Here’s the link to my QT piece that I’m trying to do with WM9 and make it bigger, keeping the same quality.

    Hi Mike,
Well, I picked Windows AVI from the media encoder. Then I tried high quality broadband and that was pretty crappy. I’m trying now the 1024 download and I had to change the size because it defaults to 320×240. Are these the correct choices?
    Thanks

In QT Pro there is a place to change the size manually. When I chose 400×300 the quality got much worse.
