    Thank you for your replies.
The media is not 24p it’s 720p 60. The footage was shot at 60fps and the FCP timeline containing my selected subsclips is 60fps. I don’t want the original clips’ timecode retained, I just want the new master tape containing all my clips to record at 60fps instead of 29.97fps. I thought there was a way to force the AJ1200 to master tapes in such a way that they would retain media’s flagged frames. This would allow for laying back master clip tapes at 24fps and 60fps.

We’ll be onlining elsewhere and the client wants to simplify as much as possible so rather than send many many tapes, we will send the one.

Thank you for your reply. I agree on the “email distribution is a bad idea” idea and plan on trying to convey that to the client again.
It’s good to learn that I’m not alone in the MPEG-4/PC issue. That should support the Web distribution argument.

Hi and thanks for the link. Trouble is, a 4 minute NTSC sequence exported as a 240×180 MPEG-4 is about 6 MB vs 68 MB using Ken Stone’s Sorenson 3, QTime Conversion (all else same settings) method.
Could be MPEG-4 is as good as it gets, I just don’t know why PC users are seeming to have trouble with it.
    Thank you,

Got After Effects? The Wiggler can create a great random shakey effect. Then you could tweak the proc amp and levels for strange, rich dark colors. See this article: https://www.creativecow.net/articles/tierney_jim/wiggler/

Thank you for your replies. The AJ-5P126XG will work eventually as I’ll need to cut down the sequence to about 54 minutes. Just very good to know that it doesn’t cap off at 31 minutes.
I have both the 1200 and 150 but the 150 does not have the 1394 interface… I guess I could use the Kona2 HD SDI out to the 150. I’ll look into it.
    Thanks again.

    Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for your reply. I’ll be giving it to a stock footage house that needs the media on tape for their archives to use again and again without storing digitally. Also, I know this should be possible so I want to figure it out.
I’ll write again if I find the solution.
