  • I was wondering… why we don’t have the option of 422 10bit uncompressed ??? is it AVC-Intra a similar to Prores codec? so its not trans coding but re wrapping? For VFX and finishing I would prefer the Uncompressed instead of Prores for offline… its a matter of confidence… Noah any news from the Panasonic front, regarding AVC-Intra natively to FCP???

    I have an international patent on the creation of EDL from the Tally output of all the vision mixers…

    We had a system build four years ago, that was able to send footage and timelines in real time along with the live event… we call it iso.ingest…

    “Due to the way this curves (Varicam curves) are designed you have to put the exact numeric values to be effective so the Natress neither Colorista plug-ins which are predefined are not effective. You can only use Final Touch in RGB color space not in YUV, but its needed reverse engineering in CFX files (its easy).”

    Hello Paul

    We are Motion FX S.A. in Greece, we own a Varicam for three years.
    We also do Color Grading with cine Gamma and we have our own film printer a LaserGraphics machine.

    We have experience in Grading and Film out in more than three features with Varicam and we have print almost 8 features from HD the last year plus many short films.

    We are using Film Color Management from Rising Sun Research, RSP Australia.
