    Hello All.
I’m about to embark on our first filmout from the varicam. I’ve done lots of TV and have fallen in love with the varicam and now have a client wishing for us to produce and finish a feature for a film out for theatrical distibution. I’m asking for recommenadtions from those who have been there and can give solid advice. We’ll be cutting in FCP 5.1.2, hopefully doing a tape to tape correction after final edit and then to a film out. Right now we’re negtiating with Swiss Effects for the filmout process, but I’d still like advice from the same guys who have saved me so much aggrivation in the past.
    Thanks again

Swiss is totally solid but you might want to explore your options a bit too to find out the possibilities. In LA for example- there’s EFilm, Technicolor, CFI, LaserPacific etc who all do good stuff. Might also want to put in a call to Digital Filmtree- they’ve done a ton of these.
