June 15, 2009 at 4:01 pm in reply to: .XMP files from premiere how can I import to After EffectsVegas allows me to use these files so I guess I’ll just make a raw edit first before doing my effects
however my question on .xmp files still stands because I am curious about what you can do with it with CS4 -

May 27, 2009 at 8:06 pm in reply to: making a black/white vector kind of video or just black shadows from a green screened faceI’ll surely keep that in mind if I do this again, the footage however was good though as mentioned next time I would move the lights to create moving shadows, we had 3 lights when making the footage, 2 on the sides one straight forward. It was a small school assignment about basic green screening and since our teacher showed us the clip of that rapper I merely got curious and decided to use my friend’s head for a smoking caterpillar like Alice in Wonderland
thank you all for the quick responses =D

I even managed to get out the white by just adding a colour keyand sorry if this was supposed to go into basics >:

2 ways to do that depending on what you want to do
right click on the audio layer -> time -> and then either enable time remapping or time stretch
however time stretch allows you to put in a percentage like I want the track slowed down to 85% but that also mean your audio layer will shorten and that is most likely not what you want (I find it quite handy when needed to scale down audio tracks)
enable time reverse mapping adds the Time remap to your layer and allows you to use keyframes, like you have a track of lets say a minute and at a certain keyframe you want the audio to be accelerated and then at the next slowed down

I have the same problem, I wanted to try this plug in out so I installed it but as soon as I start up After Effects CS3 it starts giving me messages that there’s a double of (this and this) plugin and it says that in order to have AE work properly I will have to delete the older one. however I never installed this plug in before so there can’t be a double and I checked as well there isn’t one either. The only other plug in I have is Twitch which shouldn’t clash with this one to begin with. I ended up uninstalling the plug in cause I got sick and tired of clicking on OK for 30 screens before starting AEF. I would like an answer to this as well =<

June 14, 2008 at 4:19 pm in reply to: Evolution change colour not working properlyi cant delete my threat but after playing around with it for 2 hours i finally found the solution to this
for those having a simulair problem do this:
invert the layer and change channel from RGB to red/blue or whatever colour, it chanegs the colour in the film piece, then drop a colour correction >> curves or hue/saturation and change it to whatever colour you wantsorry for the hastle =x i just wanted to use them so badly for my school project that i am finishing right now, i got a little desperate
