  • .XMP files from premiere how can I import to After Effects

I filmed something HD this weekend with my friend and I captured it with premiere at school, premiere then made the video files .mpeg together with an xmp file. Because I wasn’t planning on staying in till the nightshift and because premiere doesn’t work at my home computer (don’t ask, according to the adobe staff I have to format C:/ to fix it the program won’t even load and shuts down without an error) I decided to do the editing with After Effects so that I could do my particle’s and titles a lot easier well I come home and make a new HD composition however when I try and import the video AEF starts whining about the format xmp being an unsupported file extension

I use CS3, though I read something about CS4 about xmp and after effects

but I wonder how can I get this to work?
Does CS4 AEF allow .xmp files to get imported?

Vegas allows me to use these files so I guess I’ll just make a raw edit first before doing my effects
however my question on .xmp files still stands because I am curious about what you can do with it with CS4

There’s a lot of information about After Effects and XMP metadata in After Effects Help.
