I could swear it used to be alt-click.
Anyway, thanks!

Sweet! Thanks, it actually works! I did a test on this and as you can see the frequencies are a bit high at the end.
https://espenja.com/mov/testing/speedModulatedFreq/speedModulatedFreq.mov
Right now the wiggle completely stops when the camera stops, but maybe I could fix this with a linear function to have more control over the frequency values?
But what do you mean when you say that it dosen’t have to be a linear function? 🙂

Yeah, the compund blur is nice…and the lens blur seems to do the trick! Very cool effect.
Maybe in crash they’ve filmed with lots of DOF and in addition they’ve added the edge blur effect to make a crazy sense of DOF 🙂

I’m not sure about CPU and graphics card, but you need lots of memory! Anyting below 4GB is too little if you want your computer to do other things while you’re in PS.

Cache tag/baking seems to fix the problem! Thanks man, I don’t think I’d figured out that on my own! 🙂

Here’s another render with some small changes and some effects turned on, the flickering/jumping happen at a different time so it seems to be random:

Actually to fix this all I had to do was reload footage in the project window but I still wonder why this happens.

Hi there! You could apply an expression like this to the position property of your layers:
x = thisComp.layer(thisLayer, +1).transform.position[0] + thisComp.layer(“controls”).effect(“Xoffset”)(“Slider”);
y = transform.position[1];
z = transform.position[2];[x, y, z]
in this expression the layers’ x pos is based on the above layers x position, while the y and z positions are untouched
you’ll need to make a null object named “controls” and then apply a slider control to it named “Xoffset”, and then keep a “boss” layer at the bottom of the stack. Now the distance between the layers in the x axis will be controled by the slider.
