1024 x 768 seems odd to video people, but it’s a pretty standard resolution for laptops and business projectors, if he’s working for a corporate client who wants full screen video it makes sense.

Thank you for the quick reply. We already have a Pro with the 5870, we won’t be doing anything really demanding, nothing over HD resolution and nothing very long so we’re going to give it a go with what we’ve got. Thanks again.

My problem isn’t the size of the download, but that I work at a large corporation who purchase everything, including software, from approved distributers on a net 60 basis. Getting finance to set up an iTunes account to purchase software is going to be interesting to say the least.

According to the iFixit teardown, the NIC is a Broadcom BCM57765B0KMLG, which supports jumbo frames. This corrects one of the biggest letdowns in the previous model.

Pro will win out at GPU accelerated tasks, the iMac GPUs are all slower mobile versions.
