Ok settings on the sequence are

1920×1080 Hdtv1080i (16:9)
Pixel Aspect Ratio-Square
23.98
compressor-Apple Prores 422

Audio:
48khz
16-bit

I want the final format to be in

H.264
Linear PCM
1920×1080

Okay, well how about a 2006 15′ Macbook Pro “Intel Duo Core”, i read the specs, and FCP 7’s minimum requirements seem to match, but I just want to make sure if it’ll work before I buy the thing.

SO will a 2006 2.0gh macbook pro run FCP 7?

But how exactly would I do that? I’ve connected my T2i to my iMac via USB, the one it came with.

What are the capture preset settings?

Thank you for responding, but I wanted to correct myself.

The “old footage” was shot not shot in Squeeze mode. I shot it in stretch mode. So my old footage should be fine.

Hope that makes a difference.
