I just received my Canon T2i in the mail today. Absolutely love it. I was just wondering how exactly i would upload the footage onto Final Cut. I will be primarily shooting 1080.24p. I’ve done some research, I understand I would have to convert the files. Although I have not found a forum strictly on 24p.

Can someone please show me the entire walkthrough process?

You don’t strictly speaking HAVE to convert the files, but they’re encoded to H264 on record, which is a horrible editing codec. Use the log and transfer utility with FCP and encode them to Apple Prores 422. The 24p thing is fine….

But how exactly would I do that? I’ve connected my T2i to my iMac via USB, the one it came with.

What are the capture preset settings?
