Kernel Panic-Hard Crash. All the same to me. It means the computer and everything with it is dead until force restart holding the power button until shutoff.

There is a driver update 2.2.8 for the Sonnet Tempo dated April 16, 2012.
The Windows driver 4.2.0 is still going steady since May, 2010.

Looks like the windows driver is more mature. Sigh…

I agree, no reason to abandon the Kona Lhe, I’d even pay $3 for a driver download. There has to be 100 people with the Lhe who would chip in $3 to pay for the half day of programming.

  • Good job! I can’t wait for it to happen for me.

  • Might want to hold off on the update. I have had two straight system crashes while using Open CL. It appears to happen with Non-Adobe plugs, BCC key, Smooth Tone, Light Wrap when at Full Resolution playback. Dropped to half res playback and it seems stable for now, although I already had smooth half res playback without Open CL. That’s all I got for now.

  • Ahh, yes…concatenation problems. I forget which way Premiere applies effects. Is it bottom-top…or top bottom? Hmmm, see if that makes a difference. Sometimes you need to instantiate another effect to break concatenation order. Try a Hue-Sat, or other basic effect at default settings(so nothing happens) on the nested clip then the sharpening plug. Maybe try two different sharpening plugs? One Sharpening the other Unsharp mask.

  • Why would you not be able to do it?
There have got to be some tutorials that will get you up to speed on how to edit and for Premiere Pro. Try Lynda.com or check out Andrew Devis. Also try the beginners section on how to nest and apply filters. That should get you there.

  • I don’t know where I used them but there are some convolution algorithm sharpeners, might be in AE, I forget, but they seemed pretty nice.

    Hint: Check the presets bin!
