OSX Lion 10.7.4 WARNING!!!!!
Posted by Erik Mickelson on May 9, 2012 at 10:21 pm4 straight hard system crashes after updating to Lion 10.7.4!
Use at your own risk! I am lucky that it is a down week for me, that’s why I seem to have unlimited time and resources for b1tching and moaning.
Good luck with the update.

May 10, 2012 at 2:18 amThere is a driver update 2.2.8 for the Sonnet Tempo dated April 16, 2012.
The Windows driver 4.2.0 is still going steady since May, 2010.Looks like the windows driver is more mature. Sigh…

OK.
Lets backup a second.
When does the computer “hard crash”? Does that mean kernel panic by the way?
Can you boot?

May 10, 2012 at 3:05 pmKernel Panic-Hard Crash. All the same to me. It means the computer and everything with it is dead until force restart holding the power button until shutoff.

I was just wondering if an application crashed, or did the computer kernel panic. There’s a big difference.
When exactly does it kernel? Only when using Premiere?
Have you tried working without your Sonnet card?
A kernel panic can usually mean some sort of hardware conflict.

May 10, 2012 at 5:21 pmJust installed 10.7.4 on my C system and so far no problems. I’ve been playing with the Premiere Pro CS6 trial and it seems to be pretty snappy too.

May 10, 2012 at 5:55 pmNo problems here either. In fact I don’t really notice anything faster or slower after the update.
