Thanks so much ever-wise Alex. I have never even thought to option drag. I use this technique all the time in After Effects. Hopefully the custom grad comes with the copy paste technique? I’ll try it this week.This should save some time. Thank you.
I am having a little difficulty switching from FCP to Premiere Pro. So anything helps.

The drive is connected directly to the USB port. This works though only at 1x speed max.
Or, the drive is connected through the express port via Sonnet Pro eSata card. The drive is not recognized this way. If a swap out the BluRay burner for a hard drive, the drive is recognized through the eSata port on the enclosure. This tells me that the drive is incompatible with the enclosure.
Videoguys says that, based on this information, that the enclosure is most likely the culprit. I do not follow that logic. Videoguys wanted me to send them the enclosure, at my cost, then they would ship me a new enclosure. Then if the BluRay burner still is not recognized through the eSata port, then I would ship them the BluRay burner, at my cost, and see if that fixes the problem.
I have asked Videoguys to just tell me what I need to buy to get this to work. I can’t get an answer. I have a feeling that there is no solution and that I will be stuck with this stuff that is not really fully compatible with my MacBook Pro. I just don’t think they have ever tested a working solution, yet sell the stuff anyway.

No resolution yet. The going is slow…There doesn’t seem to be much communication between the sales and warranty departments. They are wanting me to ship a piece at a time back and see which piece is causing the problem. That could get expensive really quick as Videoguys.com is expecting me to pay shipping for the goods that do not work. My problem does inherently lie with the products, not necessarily Videoguys. Videoguys just sells the products to us. The problem is that there is no testing of product going on, they just package stuff for us, tell us it works and sometimes it does.
If I do it their way I will be paying $50 shipping for $120 of goods. The shipping ratio would increase if the new product they send back to me does not work.
I have asked repeatedly for the exact express cards that were “tested” as working on the Macbook Pro. Still no answers yet. We do not know what products they authorized this stuff to work on. I just want to know what they tested as working.

Please explain the easy wipe on wipe off process. I want a smooth, soft wipe pattern that is easy to apply. My current method involves, apply gradient wipe filter(click), select custom gradient box(click), select hard drive(click), select project folder(click), select graphics folder(click), select gradients folder(click), search and find specific gradient image and select(click), double click the transition(click)(click), then select the Attributes”window???(click), then select the handle and drag to the duration(click)(drag). I count 11 clicks.
Repeat for the other side of the title but add a (click) to reverse the gradient wipe.
Premiere cannot copy paste the grad wipe transition. Ever.
No copy and paste transitions ala FCP(right click, copy, select edge, paste) four clicks. I have reported this and no progress from Adobe. I guess this has been going on for years. It’s kind of like wishing Lightwave had After Effects export. Lightwave keeps asking for someone to make a feature request but it has been done for at least 10 years. This is old.

Just started getting this. I have successfully used quick clusters in the past. This massage is a first for me.
Share function does not work either.
I have reset background processing. Reset sevices. Made a new quick cluster.
Nothing works.I will try a restart. First things last right?!

It’s a good thing I do not use Lion then. I am still using the archaic Snow Leopard. Your support team knows this. I believe it was you whom I spoke with last Thursday, unless there is another Bary that works at Videoguys.com. I will try to call you again ASAP.
I do not know anyone who edits that uses Lion at this point. Virtually nothing works correctly in Lion without a few gotchas.
So I posit my query yet again.
What eSata cards are you using to test with that give better than 1x burn speed and have eSata support. Please also include the list of failed tested cards. I do not want to use nor waste my money on any of the cards that you tested which failed under Videoguys.com guidelines for success.

Which cards are you having problems with exactly? That is the question I asked you on the phone. You said you can’t be sure which express cards works or were tested?
How do you qualify your above statement of some 3rd party eSata cards?
Tell me specifically which one, of the some, that you tested as working with this burner through eSata. I will buy that one.

Yes you can. Use “Mac Blu Ray Player” software.The Pioneer support is wrong? All they said is that they do not recognize the Mac platform as anything that their product will work on. They are surprised that it even functions.
I know kids that put playing cards in their spokes, the cards are not even meant to go there. Do they work? Marginally well, given that they were not designed to be used on a bicycle.

It’s not the enclosure. I tested it with a hard-drive and it did just fine with the AJA disk test.
The Pioneer BDR-206, I was told, was not compatible with Macs and never was intended to work with them. It’s magic if they do according to Pioneer. Mac is not mentioned as compatible on the website and there are many pages of incompatibilities with macs on Apple.com/support.
All I know is that it does not burn faster than 1x and does not work through the eSata port on the NexStar DX enclosure(though hard-drives do), and Videoguys.com cannot confirm the BDR-206 works with a laptop through the eSata port yet advertise that they in fact do.
I am using the Tempo Pro express port card. Hardly an esoteric card. All of my other hard-drives with eSata ports work with this express port card. It is among the highest rated cards for the Macbook Pro.
Sorry Gary but Videoguys.com have not been very helpful.
