As an FYI: AA batteries are rated at 1.5vdc. Brand new Alkaline or Lithium AA non-rechargeable will test out at about 1.62vdc unloaded and go down from there as you use them. Rechargeable batteries never recharge back up to the rated voltage, they always top out at about 1/2 to 1 volt less than the rated voltage and their discharge rate is somewhat faster than non-rechargeables.

Listened to all the time stamps and did not hear anything like you described. There was a click type of sound about 1 sec after your time stamp that could be easily removed in editing.

$20,000 is a nice start but nowhere near what you’ll need to spend to get a really good system installed. Forget about a “plug & play” setup with the complexity of what’s required. You’ll need a dedicated person to handle the set up, running the equipment and doing the required maintenance and yes there will be required maintenance. I would suggest that you or your parents look for sound contractors as close to Indonesia as possible and ask them for their assistance.

The Rycote BBG is your best choice. I’ve used them for years on my Sennheiser MKH 50’s. Be sure to get it with the furry wind cover for very high winds and in the right diameter for your mic. 18-20mm opening should be perfect. You’ll never have to take it off the mic indoors or out.

It’s a combination of starting with good clean tracks either a boom & or wireless systems and then post does their magic in matching levels, applying EQ, compression, limiting, noise reduction as required. Bad audio will disengage an audience from the story faster than anything else.

As an FYI: Over the ear or earsets will give you 6-8db more gain before feedback in a PA situation-vs-a standard clip on lav.

For a permanent fix for T power to 48v phantom look up Pete Verrando who does the best T power to 48v phantom conversions. His conversions run about $150. I run the Professional Sound Services shop in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and he’s done about 6 conversions for us and the mics come back sounding better than when they went out. I recommend his work without question.

You should be fine in the countries you named. The chances of being blocked out of open frequencys are minimal. Just to be safe see if you can rent a 470 block of G3 wireless as a backup.
