The AGC is global meaning both channels. You’ll need a custom cable with the correct connectors for your wireless feeding a 3.5mm TRS connector with one wirless connectd to the tip or left channel and the other to the ring or left channel.
Recording audio on the camera is not going to give you good results. What you should do is get a small recorder like a zoom something and put the audio on that and sync everything up with pluraleyes.

One additional note. On some recorders the line outs are controlled by the headphone volume control so be careful on adjusting it if yours are.

The XLR outputs on the R4 are AES digital only and will not feed an analog signal to the LS 10. The analog line level outs on the R4 are RCA so you will need an RCA to 3.5mm connecting cable. Be sure to set the LS 10 inputs for line level.

When I need a shotgun outside it’s my Neumann 81i. Others prefer the Sanken CS3E, the Sennheiser mkh 60 or the newer 8060. Still others love the Schoeps CMIT 5u. OTOH my Sennheiser MKH 50 is my goto mic for in & outside.

6-7 ft is good so the line of sight is not broken by people walking between the tx & rx. That will solve the receiver problem but not the transmitter issue. Bodys absorb RF and do cause dropouts. OTOH if you can get the receivers close to the transmitters and run an audio cable back to your mixer you’ll have zero problems.

If you can get your receivers up higher you should be fine. What service are you providing for the event. A little detail would help.

A lav might sound better only because it’s closer to the sound source. Basically you don’t have a sound problem you have a location problem. That said and to address your lav question, the Countryman line of lavs are very good. In particular the EMW or B3 lavs for about $200+ each. Sennheiser also has some very good lavs. The Sanken COS11 is also a top performer for about 2x the price of a Countryman. Do some online research on those products and make your choice. Ok, I understand your dilemma. Then the only way to use two lavs would be to get two MZA’s and hard wire them to the camera or recorder.

Under $1k? If you’re lucky a used Sennheiser 416. Try ebay.

ok, Two Mza900’s will allow you to put each lav mic on a different channel but you’ll no longer be wireless from the talent to the camera. If your camera has 48v phantom power you’re good to go with a couple of 25″ xlr cables.
