I’ll try the demo and look into what playback hardware to use. A laptop sounds great, but wouldn’t I also need an external raid or something to ensure that the drive speed is fast enough for HD at a very low compression? If I for instance make the videos WMV at 1920 x 1080, and with the quality very high / high bitrate, wouldn’t it be a little too demanding for just a laptop..? I will be having advanced, heavy motion graphics, but everything will be prerendered as videoclips.
Kind regards,

Thanks, yes I’m aware of that. 🙂 I’ve made several projects in the past at all kinds of sizes and field priority settings. But never for Blu-ray, which is totally new to me. So I basically wanted to make sure that choosing my own settings (1080p) actually will result in a Blu-ray compatible file. Sorry if my question was unclear. So to restate what I’m wondering about: Does it make any difference whether I render interlaced or not when final output is Blu-ray, and it will be played through a projector?
Kind regards,
Eric -
No, but thanks for the tip… I’ll ask there also. I figured since part of my question is regarding my render settings in AE (1080i or 1080p), and since 1080p is not a preset in AE, I’d try here first.

Thanks for the tips so far! I was hoping there might be some plug-in or reasonably priced software out there that could speed up the process of doing individual tracking of each point with AE’s own tools. I’ll check out the Pixel Corps deal. Maybe the AE puppet tool will work out ok, but I do want the dancing to look fairly decent/natural, especially since this might be composited with a real dancer…

Thanks for your reply!
I will try 2-pass VBR!

I stumbled across this plugin today:

I don’t know anything about it, but maybe it’s what you’re looking for..?

January 4, 2007 at 12:43 pm in reply to: Next version of Adobe Production Studio coming to the MacI also hope the new Premiere Pro will have decent EDL import capabilities. I just lost a big job onlining a 30 minute short film on my AXIO/PPro workstation because the project was offlined on FCP, and it was too much of a hassle bringing it into Premiere Pro for onlining. I think that if Adobe’s smart, they’ll make import of EDL’s from FCP a priority, so they can win back customers who already have projects in FCP.
Just my 2 cents,

Thanks!
I’ll look for that keyboard shortcut.

Hi,
The commercial will be played before the main feature from a computer / projector setup as a Windows Media Video file at 1280 x 720.
