    Hello!

I have some DVCPro HD footage shot at 50fps (720/50P). It has square pixels. I have downconverted it to SD PAL letterbox (black bar on top and bottom) in AE, and I’m just wondering if I’m doing it the best way. This is what I did:

-Imported the 1280 x 720 50fps clip, and kept the interpretation at 50fps.
-Created a PAL 720 x 576 comp, but made the framerate in the comp 50 instead of 25. PAL pixel aspect ratio (1.07)
-Dragged the clip into the comp, and scaled the clip down to fit (60%).
-Rendered it as a regular PAL SD clip (720 x 576, 25 fps).

Is this the best way to do this (number of steps, quality, etc.)?

    Kind regards,
    Eric

    Thanks!

I’ll look for that keyboard shortcut.

    Kind regards,
    Eric
