I for one would avoid using a hub for anything heavy like film work.

For that, I use an OWC Envoy 2TB or 4TB on a single port.

I work in a RED ECO so it’s butter for me.

Just deployed a few M1Pro MBP to graphic designers.

I got them the OWC Thunderbolt Hub.

It does seem overkill since a few can live off a Belkin Media Hub but once you start using RAID drives you will need the OWC for sure.

FYI the Belkin Media Hub is able to do ethernet, HDMI to 4K, and a USB3 LaCie.

One user has been doing this for weeks and so far its been smooth for her.

Always had that issue in W7.

I work mostly in OSX and W10/11 now.

I have tested it between the two apps and yes you are correct it’s not an easy task.
I basically have to rebuild everything.

Not sure about a plugin for AE but look into Toon Boom and similar.

I don’t know how advanced cel animation has gone of late, haven’t worked in that in a decade.

My day job IT dept. would have a fit if that was ever brought up.

There are cloud options but that would mean a service that the school would have to pay for.

When I teach editing, all supplied files are handed on a USB drive.

They can work off the drive or leave it local it’s their choice.

But the college uses Deep Freeze so they can’t really save it on the local drive overnight.

OneDrive is buggy enough as it is, never mind as an editing portal 😛

That’s odd.
I work in AE daily using the type tool and its bang on.

I do have a few different workflows.
I use both Font Catalog locally and Suitcase Fusion Connect Fonts (Cloud-based) with the graphics team.

It’s been years since fonts have shown any slowdown on a Mac from my experience.
I go as far back as the LCIII with 4MB of RAM 😉

I don’t have any input other than this, this is why I have so much color grading work.

I see my clients mixing all their cameras and always end up on my lap.

I can honestly say that I failed on one account.

Both cameras were from Sony 😛

Very cool animation.

Mostly frame by frame from my experience.

Maybe AE can help with 3D camera moves as well as scaling.

As far PS, I lean on file resolution for reframing etc….
