Sounds like your heading that way anyway since you want to do more Motion Design.
We use AE for that but across different NLE depending on situation or who is finishing. -
Both are on the same system temp.
We have an intern using MC and requires the XDCAM gear.
I havent checked if the Users/Projects transfer over.
I just installed it but didnt bother to go over the app since. -

I dont get why this baffles people in the business.
If I was a VFX start-up and didnt know better, yes folks that happens all the time, I would opt FCPX for its simplicity.
Back in the day (from my background), most 3D/Motion design houses didnt have an Avid or Media100.
They had Premiere (pre CS) as a simple editor.
This was also the norm on the Unix side, sorry forgot the software that was used then. -
The job listings could also be for experienced PPro folks.
I havent read each one if I was migrating from FCP legacy to PPro, it would make sense to hire experienced users right? -

I havent used the TC option with FCPX for other reasons.
With the recent update, we’ve never had issues with Multicam. -
