Tick Tock…
Posted by Eric Santiago on July 26, 2012 at 3:14 amSorry I had to say it 🙂
Ive been trying to get answers locally on pre-order up here in Canada.
I guess we have to wait till its actually released.
How are they doing this in the US?
Do I have to know a second cousins girlfriends Aunts to get in on this pre-order 🙂Matthew Sonnenfeld replied 13 years, 9 months ago 3 Members · 5 Replies -

July 26, 2012 at 12:12 pmB&H last night extended their expected availability date from July 30th to August 15th. I have my fingers crossed that this date is more accurate to when a customer can get one (who’s on a pre-order list, which I have been since April) as opposed to when they might be technically available in terms of having shipped out of Australia but not yet in the hands of a dealer.

July 26, 2012 at 1:15 pmVarious BMD dealers have been taking BMCC pre-orders since April, including in the US.
Unless there is a parts shortage (such as a constraint on image sensor availability) I suspect the BMCC will be relatively readily available once they start ramping up production over the coming weeks & months. At least this seems to be BMD’s pattern with their other products.
The BMCC appears to be a hot-product-in-the-making, so it could be in short supply for at least a little while. We shall see.

July 26, 2012 at 4:14 pmI did not order at NAB unfortunately. Wasn’t there. I pre-ordered the first week that B&H had it available. I think it was April 30th that I actually submitted it. It is good that your were able to pre-order though as I suspect that will be the only way to get a camera for several months. And look on the bright side, we early adopters won’t even have audio meters on our cameras (coming in a future firmware update). You get to let us figure out all the problems first.
