They are sticking with the Primary/Connected clips workflow.
I was hoping by now they would treat other options such as layered PSDs as multiple tracks.
I know that breaks the no track rule but cant Apple just write it in that as a sub clip e.g. Compound, PSDs w/layers, etc be treated differently than the Primary workflow?

I went through the same experiences with 3D software and always thought that its not the software but the user.

Any specifics as far as daily formats you deal with?
I am certain the new iMac can handle RED files easily since Im doing it on a 2008 UniMBP.

Adding to my list.

Is there a way to remove all transforms with one click in Premiere.
Received a project with over 1500 edits and I’m not about to sit through each clip too see what was transformed.

The MXF just has to sit in an Avid blessed folder system (not necessarily the local drive).

Basically “Avid MediaFiles > MXF > 1 (this could be any number but it has to contain the mdb files to connect with Avid software).

The projects are in Avid Projects folder and that too has to be placed in the right local drive.

That should work.

If all else fails just export XML from Premiere.
Import into REDCINE and link the Master folder (R3Ds) and then force to open i Premiere (sorry forgot the actual menu name) or just export XML again and import into Premiere.
Ive had to do this a few times cause there is now way to find was is used in a project in Premiere (not that I know off).
Do an XML import into a new project and you notice that it only imports the files used.
