  • I’ve had some success just using AME.

    This was delivered for Broadcast.

    Kerning and leading is required.

For space on return use leading.

For space between characters use kerning.

You can also kern individual characters by using Option + Left/Right Arrow.

Just place the cursor where you wish to apply the kerning.

  • Wow I didnt think this kinda of workflow was allowed these days.

As Tom stated, its also a personal pref for some of us.

I am stuck with a 2019 Mac Pro so I loaded one slot with M.2s in a Sonnet M.2 4×4 Silent PCIe Card. No limits here as far as high resolution videos on all NLEs.

I work with mostly Panasonic EVA1 4K DCI clips for day job but at times I’ve had a chance to work with RED files as high as 8K and man I love how the NVMe handles them 🙂

I usually keep all versions of Adobe for at least two older ones due to plug-in issues.

With any version you can open your recent and do a Save As “older”.

  • I would need to try that tutorial again.

I have a few projects that require it.

  • I tried the same tutorial I think (man on street), and this is the response I got from Boris support:

It sounds like something might be wrong with the background layer – It could be that it’s not tracked at a nearby frame, that not stacked behind the foreground layer (being removed), or maybe not marked for processing (with the cog icon). Can you quickly double-check all these things. If none of these help, can you relay me your AE project and, ideally, the clip being referenced (that you are removing from the cleanplate)?

I manage to remove what I can with a lot of messing around but no where as easy as that tutorial shows 😛

Its quick and easy enough using a static frame even in Premiere.

Take a clean frame and use the clone tool in Photoshop.

The camera movement is fast enough to just use the scale on that layer.

    No need for tracking/mocha.

I was curious about this when it first came out.

Looking at the BMD forum and there doesn’t seem to be any way in to using other NLEs.

Honestly everyone’s reply here is valid and sadly its a PITA to deal with Premiere as far as updates go.

I use all four NLEs so its a crazy game I play at home and work.

Just lucky to have a few backup systems just in case.
