You said sometimes it works on other players and sometimes it doesn’t? Sounds like a media problem to me. Are you using a decent brand?
Another thing to consider- the encoders these set top recorder use are not the best. Depending on your settings , bit-rate spikes occur often at higher bitrates and they do not mux with AC3 audio ( A major major DVD must have 🙂 . It would be best to use an outboard encoder with more control over bitrates and audio.

Never heard it being used for a broadcast medium – maybe small local stations or cable hubs. DVD uses MPEG2 codec which is very lossy compared to other mediums.
But if thats what the client wants…. 🙂

Is this problem in the inspector or on a burned disc?

Also, make sure DVD Architect supports this aspect ration (352×576) it’s supported by the DVD spec but rarely used.

I would strongly suggest purchasing DVDAfter Edit..It can easliy do what you need and way more. I use for re-authoring and all my pre-mastering needs. And It’s the only Mac I know of program that can do what you need.

You will need to convert each page to a format DVDSP can address (tif, png, pict). Bring them in author each as a seperate menu. Remember to include button somewhere so you can easily go to the next page.
You can’t scroll from page to page – its against dvd spec. Also be aware of font size. Make sure your words are large enough to read on a player.
