How many copies are you talking about providing an hour after the event?
Get a good set top recorder and feed your signal into that. When complete finalize the disc and pop it into a tower duplicator that also prints. Google for info about duplication towers. They vary in prices and speed. You might be able to rent one a s well. The key to something like this is planning and preparation beforehand.
If your talking about menus then thats a different story and might take you a little longer but if your prepared for the workflow it won’t add on too much time.

I would either fade to black after each chapter or design a menu which matches the last frame of video in the chapter.

This is just my opinion but there is, most definetely, is a distinct difference between the SP and other software encoders. It all depends if you have the cashflow to pay for it. Also depends on how demanding your clients or you are.

Sorry..just telling you what I paid. Although Cinevision is stripped down and only offers MPEG2. Had to pay more to get the VC-1 option.

Also to add an update here. Sonic has recently lowered the pricing for both their BD-HDMV and HD DVD (AC) tools to the sub $30,000 area with Cinevision included.

I wish it were that simple. 🙂 Prosumer apps aren’t suitable for my needs at this point. Were producing HD DVD (Advanced Content) titles (ie: pop-up menus, picture-in-picture, ect). Beside those tools don’t output a usable image for replication at this point. Scenarist 4 is my only option if I want to offer this.

As you can see, its not easy or fast. Someday affordable tools will be available to do this work for you but until then I need to get my hands dirty a little.
