Can anyone help me with this…

I have a video DVD which has 6 films on it. One of the films is my own film and I want to extract just that film, so I can burn DVD-Rs of it.
I’ve tried using ‘Mac the Ripper’, but end up with a VOB which DVD player won’t recognise when burnt onto DVD using Toast. If I try and play the VOB in Quicktime the image is great, but its mute – no sound at all.

    How can I resolve this?
I don’t want to pay to get the film re-authored.

    So 2 questions –
    how to extract the film
and how to extract the film with its soundtrack intact
