    thanks again, jr.
It happens in different spots, so maybe bad memory stick? Yet in other spots the program simply closes without any mention of “unreadable memory”. (with the aforementioned problem in my previous post).

Since I have so many things going on, I’m not sure what to do. :/

Any recommendations on where I should start?

    Hey Dave,
I’ve tried various outputs – at least, I believe I have. When you say that, do you mean .avi, .wav., and/or NSTAC or HD and that sort of thing?
Also, how do I check Vegas for updates? I have not done that and that would probably help a lot anyway, even if it didn’t solve my immediate problem.
    Thanks!

Hey Joe – my computer is running Vista.

    RAM: 6.00 GB
    Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5300 @2.60GHz 2.60 GHz

I’m using Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition. It was purchased as an upgrade from the hard copy I purchased of an older version (6.0 I believe).

Hey Joe – thanks for the quick response.
I might be a bit difficult to help because I’m not completely computer literate, but I’ll let you know what I do know and maybe you can fill me in on where to find the answers to the other questions.

    OS – Windows 2007
File types – Mostly HD clips from a Sony Handycam. Also are some
downloaded clips from online and some photos.
Rendering to – avi. format, preferably, but I’ve tried various other
    options with no positive outcomes.
Comp specs – I’m not sure what this is. Where can I find the info to
    answer this?

    Thanks, Joe!
