thank you for getting back to me Alex. I did create a clear title and that did the trick, but was hoping to have a way to push my timeline down without adding a real edit.

Hopefully an update will let us add space just by marking in /out then insert empty space.

Thanks for sparking my brain. If I bring the video file into my timeline and CHANGE THE SETTING TO THE ORIGINAL FILE SIZE, then export at 1080, all is well.

If I keep the original project setting when bringing the video file into my timeline, that’s when the bar shows up.

Now I can sleep.
