I’ve worked on a ton of network and cable shows and supervised more mixing sessions than I can remember.

If you can use speakers, they are much better than head phones for high end audio mixes. The basic reason is that 99% of TV viewers will listen to your audio on speakers, sitting at least 3 feet away from the source. So it’s best to do the mix as close to the same listening environment as your audience.

Try a pair of Genelec’s ! They ain’t cheap, but the sound is beyond amazing.

  • The same problem flashes up when using muticam editing. The solo thing fixes that too. Very poor tech development yet again.

    Many thanks.

I tried to hand out video files using H265, but it seemed that none of the platforms out there had the updates to play them.

What would you say is the best output format for H265.

    Hello again Herb.

I received a tip from Robert D’Alexis. He had the same problem, and found that turning on the solo mutton brought everything back to life.

I tried it and it actually does work! Who knows why.

    Thanks for getting back.

YOU SAVED ME! Turning on the solo button brought ch. 1 and 2 back to life!

    Who knew ☺

    Thank you so much Robert.

  • Thanks Tero. I did reach out to Herb just now explaining my plight.

    Thanks much.

    Hello Herb.

This is my first real multicam problem. It’s a 4 camera project, so nothing too crazy.

I was working on my cut and all of a sudden, no audio output on Ch. 1 and 2. Dead.

If I move that entire 90 minute track to ch 3 and 4 – it comes back. Over the weekend, I had to move all the way to ch 9 and 10.

I then deleted all empty tracks and things reverted back to ch 1 and 2, at least for now.

Trashing settings, opening a new project didn’t help. All other applications within Pro are working just fine.

The only thing I can figure may be the problem is that I color corrected by 4 long camera clips before combining them to multi cam.

    Crazy times.

    Eric

    Many thanks.

  • Who ever is doing the updating to this disaster should also take a look at Multicam.

Is there a way to reach these people directly? Probably not. Shame on that.

    Many thanks.

    Hi Dave.

When I highlighted the A1 button it did turn on audio , but only for one clip. If I move a clip that is dead to track 4, I can heard it.

Is there something that I’m not seeing to turn off audio on a track other than the mute button?

    Eric

    Many thanks.
