November 27, 2013 at 2:54 am in reply to: conforming multiple sequences from pre-conformed EDLSYou only run into issues, as far as I know, if your reels don’t have unique timecode.
I’m currently working on TV show that was exported in Acts from the full timeline with an EDL for each… Each EDL only affects the media that matches the TC. Also cool, I only needed one reference file, Resolve syncs the Reference based on TC tot he correct portion of the show, so that’s pretty cool…

November 21, 2013 at 7:26 pm in reply to: Methods for getting screening notes into resolve?[michael stirling] “Being on the wave I don’t have shot no. entry but would say that shot numbers do change (ie. if ‘drop in this extra title slate’ was your first review note it would blow that whole workflow)”
I knew there was a reason I hadn’t done this yet… last time this came up I thought it would be a great idea, but then I had to do just that and everything became useless…

November 21, 2013 at 5:55 pm in reply to: Methods for getting screening notes into resolve?I haven’t done this yet, but next next time I send a copy for review, I’m going to do a Shot Burn instead of TC… at least with the Eclipse I can navigate by shot number… but since no one but Colorists work with that info it’s generally a useless feature for clients… Unlike TC… But it is better than nothing, so I’ll keep using it.

I recently got my JVC, similar model, calibrated by a professional for a small fraction of what I was able to determine were “acceptable” calibration tools. Even if you do both monitors, I would suspect your time and money are better spent having someone who knows what they are doing provide this service.
Isn’t that why your clients go to you?

I believe you can “restore” it from the database manager, then you would need to update/upgrade it to current version/patch.

I’m going to guess after some very brief math that your source is 30 and you’re rendering 24…
But something else could also be happening…

I feel like most of those keys are now the Resolve 10 keyboard… at least the ones I use in Resolve, from FCP7 still work…

They have. Pretty sure they’re under the support files… where they keep the Codec list…

It was a definitely a ponderous way of doing it… I don’t exactly recall why it needed to be done that way… but it worked… So I figured it was worth mentioning.
