Hi, I’m currently working on a 4K 3D movie shot on 2 RED EPIC 5K. I started the project on v8.2 so I choose not to upgrade to R9 to avoid problems. I have the same kind of problems you have but I’m in version 8.2!!!
I first thought of a 32bit problem but it looks like it’s something else… So far, I’ve never had a problem with v8.2 before this project.
Did you find something?

Basically, I have a 30 minutes helicopter shot that is used a couple of times in the editing. I want to adjust the ISO differently depending on the light at this moment. It act like theses shots in the timeline are linked. However, when I batch unlink, it still affect the whole original clip. A new version does not work either…
There is a certain logic that Resolve works that way but I was wondering is there is a tricks to avoid this behaviour.I’m sorry for the confusion!

March 23, 2011 at 4:53 pm in reply to: Experience with grading on a Christie 2K projector ?Was your output in 2k or HD? I’m looking to move on Resolve but It’s hard to find informations about 2K output. It would be really appreciated to have feedback about performance with 2K/4K output with Resolve on mac. I’m not sure about the exact hardware I’ll go with but it will be something like a 12 core with a Cubix, 2 FX4800 on on SAN in fibre……
Thanks!

Somewhere between 5000$ (BXM) and 8000$ (BDM) here in Canada. I just found a BDM-240L3G demo for next week. I’am using a CRT right now and I can’t wait to see how big the gap will be…………or not?

I have my doubts about the support of ethernet control surface… The DaVinci Resolve Mac Config Guide said that Older generations of DaVinci control panels, with ethernet connections, were exclusively designed for Linux and cannot be used with DaVinci Resolve on Mac OS X..
Maybe the wrong place but I have 2 questions about the WAVE:
Is it slower than the CP200 in Color as well?
Can we move more than one ring simultaneously (like the CP200)???
Thanks in advance..

I own a CP200 since Final Touch and I love it! I’m very disappointed it’s not supported on the DaVinci… Does anyone have experience to share with the new BlackMagic control surface? Does it worth the price? I don’t want to “downgrade” from CP200 to WAVE since it feels like a toy….. But 30K is a lot of money 🙁
Thanks!
