  • On Vegas:

    – File – import – media
    – select 1st targa file… you must have the 800 files numerically arranged on same folder
    – check mark “Open still image sequence” (the range is automatically selected for all the stills)
    – Vegas creates a video file on your project media…. just drop it on timeline
    – check properties of the video and experiment with the alpha settings

done …. is this what you need ??

April 13, 2007 at 1:28 am in reply to: HD110u/200u batteries

I bought 2 switronix bricks… XPL90A and charger (for the 2 batteries at same time) for about 1K.. also get the antonbauer promo (FREE!!) from JVC (titan 90 and single charger)… my comments:

    Switronix:
    – EXCELENT BATTERIES
    – a little bit heavier than AB
    – No display and no info on camera about remaining time (but led indicators on battery and voltage indicator on camera)
    – I have had some problems with the plate adapter (suplied by JVC). In my opinion the 2 screw mount is “weak” for the weight of some heavier batteries other than the AB….. and even with the AB you have to be careful… it is a bad design and I’m sure that the 200 series come with the pro-battery mount on the body camera to avoid these kind of problems…

April 13, 2007 at 1:15 am in reply to: JVC HD100 zoom in out of focus

…be careful if you shoot HD … focus seems to be more critical than in DV … I made some “out of focus” shoots relying only on what I see on my viewfinder and discover later that something was wrong with my adjustment ….

by the way, I know of some companies that offers HD lenses (not for this camera) WITH autofocus…I think it would be a nice option to have it (and if you want to be PRO, just don´t use it…)

February 6, 2007 at 1:58 am in reply to: Vegas 7 to FLV

encode to uncompressed AVI… with progressive setting on your render settings…. it will be a big file but the flash 8 video encoder reads the AVI very well and you can change dimensions, quality & frame rate on the flash encoder… very good FLVs as final videos….

If no photos or colors are required, use a Primera Signature thermal printer.
Prints on any DVD (no printable disc required), very good quality and low cost of “ribbon” (instead of ink cartridges) ….. again. great for logos or text.. no colors or photo-images…

December 14, 2006 at 10:21 pm in reply to: HDV to DVD…. please help

Yes, but, what is the best setting for my working project (NOT the render) ?

HDV or NTSC-widescreen… (I think if my output will be NTSC-DVD, can be just like that…)

and, what is the “stretch video to fill frame” ??

December 9, 2006 at 12:03 am in reply to: how to mix 720-30p with 1080i (HDV) ???

is as simple as that ? … would not be better to “convert” first, for example the 1080i clips to 720p ? (or the 720p clips to 1080i…)

I also have connectHD (cineform)… do you recommend capturing from the JVCs and Sony as cineform-AVIs and work with these AVIs on the timeline ?

    regards
