    Thanks Michael!

I haven’t yet got into Fushion, but I’m trying to add the anchor point solution into the mix and see how it works out. In the worst case, I’ll do it it After Effects where I’m at home and import back to into Resolve.

It’s strange though that resolve doesn’t give you a bigger Y axis range…

    Best regards.

Very constructive comment Tero. Yes, I’m digging a hole and reading the manual. Who knows, once I’ll know it by heart I might just never need any help again.

    Thanks again to everyone!

    Thanks for the inputs!

I’m still a bit confused by this.

I tried everything Marc suggested. Everything to Auto and I verified that there was no unwanted grade on my timeline.

I also did what Michael talked about, trying different file format exports but it was all the same.

It wasn’t until I went into color management and turned “Timeline to Output Tone mapping” to none and the “Timeline to Output Gamut Mapping” to none, that I got my exported color bars to match completely to the once I’m having in the beginning of my project.

This is definitely due to my lack of understanding of these fonctions, but I thought they wouldn’t be affecting the scopes of my exports but were only reflecting somehow in previewing. Bad me! I think I read somewhere that you should set the Timeline to Output Tone mapping to Luminance mapping and match it to the max nits of your monitor.

Thank you Glenn for your suggestion.

Yes, I’ve tried that. I went into clip attributes once I’d imported my prores444 clip and selected video levels, but with no luck.

    Thank you so much Marc!

I read up on this. Right click on a node – add node – add outside or simply – option-O and we’re in business!

I forgot all about manuals 🙂

Thank you Mark for taking the time to reply to my post.

I think I got somewhere screwing around with the soft clip high settings…

[Marc Wielage] “I wish that BMD would have a section of “Old Versions” on their website to make it easier for people to find documentation and downloads for all of this old software”

This could be said about more companies…

Thank you very much for your time mister!

There was a thorough answer. It’s funny you speak of my platform being of 3-4 years out of date, because 3 1/2 year ago it was brand new. There is something so very sad in all this, and not to mention the evil fruit company that sells us very expensive computers, what is that all about!

Thinking, I might just try to beat together a hacintosh to safe me the penny. Seems like I could get away with around 1000€ for a decent machine. And then probably another 1000€ for a decent monitor and then some for a blackmagic hardware to feed the monitor… and I bet I’m still short on what a new Macintosh laptop alone costs. Any thoughts on that? What monitor and which blackmagic hardware I should get without ruining myself?
