Yeah i understand your point.
I think i’m going to do an offline cut in DVCPROHD and online the film in Uncompressed at a post facility in order to go to CC
(i have access to a Lustre) and as far as going back to film i’m lucky enought to pay only the film stock and not the process itself.I’m pretty new to HD and my goal is just to be able to cut this film at home on my personnal fcp, since i have my directorial/editing job by day, and do all the post at the facility.

Yeah, i have some issues myseself with H264, 3mn clip stopped exporting (I left the office and back from lunch…. still the same !) but 30sec spots are ok.
Also i had FCP HD quitting without any reason a few times and some skipped frames in references files.

It’s basically my workflow.
My only problem is fo lining up my PSD file with the tracked video. I have a very hard time to do this…
