I agree with Nick’s approach of better marketing and selling the “quality” that they themselves cannot provide. Here is my case study.
We recently did a project for 3 major hospitals and they wanted a powerpoint meets boring very simple/cheap/easy project.
We sold them a “crazy idea” that included FX work and a lot of resources that they had to provide to make it work. In the end we have received nothing but praise from them. They for one will not be going to the flip camera anytime soon.

PS: The opening was shot with a HVX200. I gave the cameras to the 2 actresses with no instructions in how to use it so we could get the amateur feeling. The final shot is actually a HPX3700 colro matched to the HVX200.
Any other broll or scenes were shot with a HPX2700/HPX3000 on a Steadicam Ultra 2.

Hi Walter,
I am trying to understand your pricing structure. How do you calculate the hourly rate for project files? On hours you worked to create the files or time it takes to re-wrap them for delivery or something else?
I ask because our project files (as we state in our contracts) are our intelectual property and we have billed upto 60K to turn over to the clients. It is in direct relation to the complexity of the said project.
Do you have (similar to) a rate card you charge for project files or just go case by case as we do?

Aside from using 35mm adapters you can use the fastest/cleanest 2/3 lenses.
We use the FUJINON 7.3-110MM Zoom HDTV CINE but at 30K price tag it is not cheap, nor will it give you the same DOF of 35mm.
The Canon FJ series 2/3 primes are also excellent but the set can cost you over 100K. rental is the best option.

Again, it will not give you same DOF as 35mm but with shooting WFO+Long you will get nice results.

It is motion control rigs+roto+compositing as previously stated.Starting at 2:10 you can see spacial errors as same people occupy the same space.

We have had better luck with the P2 store and using just to transfer Data. 1GB=1 min on Macs (tower and laptop).
Since you found it so cheap it might (maybe) be worthwhile to go for the p2 store (as redundant it has become), it might still have use as an emergency back up system.
I would go for the p2 store becasue if you demo the new product and love it, you can always sell it for $350 and find a buyer (IMHO).

We here at the pasture require a certain level of honesty. Regardless here is my 2c.
1-There is no information about the product.There is no price, proper images, dealers….etc
2-There is no explanation on why or how its a single use camera.
3-No testimonials or white paper on real world use.
Yes, there is a demand for High Definition endoscopic cameras, we have been working with surgeons for a very long time using their SD content to create training/informational products. Once you develop a professional looking website with proper content+marketing I think you guys will have a shot at the market.

Under the Main Bin go to the last tab “Format”. Use the drop down menu to change HD format to SD for realtime downconversion. 1080 has more SD options, 720 not as much. You should really ask this in the AVID forum, they might have better alternatives.

The color of the cables will not be too much of an issue as you will not be able to pull a key from them. Depending on the angle of the shot you can use a cheap program like after effects to garbage matte and roto the wires.
If there is am overlap of the cables and the actor and you cannot simply delete them as that will cause gaps in your video, you will need to use a program like Mokey from imagineer system.

PS:AE has very simple wire removal but it will not track properly.
